Wanaka Rock Climbing was founded in Wanaka in 1998 and ever since we have been providing top quality rock climbing guiding and instruction in Wanaka and further afield to travelling climbers as well as the local climbing fraternity. As an overview of our business we offer guided rock climbing in the major climbing areas of the south island; Mt Cook, Wanaka, Queenstown, Glenorchy and Fiordland. This ranges from Introductory courses to climbing with experienced climbers and even Multi-day alpine rock climbing trips. At Wanaka Rock Climbing we center our business around two things: High quality instruction and guiding. For us this is the most valuable aspect of our product. In the outdoor world quality is gained by experience and good training.All of Wanaka Rock Climbings guides are qualified through the New Zealand Mountain Guides Association and/or the New Zealand Outdoor Instructors Association. Our guides have undergone standardised training at an industry level. Wanaka Rock provides professional development for our guides and expects they keep up a excellent level of personal interest and training. Environmental & local initiatives: Wanaka Rock Climbing is owned and operated by individuals who have a big interest in protecting the natural environment the we visit for work and play. Wanaka's Original Climbing Guides

Wanaka rock climbing was foundered in 1998 and ever since we have been providing top quality guiding and instruction to travelling climbers as well as the local climbing fraternity.

WRC offers all aspects of climbing from Introductory climbing days to guided ascents. All climbing courses are priced at a per person rate. All Courses have a Minimum of 2 guests and maximum of 8 guests. If a guest wishes to climb alone they can book a Private guide this will be one to one. 

At Wanaka Rock climbing we center our business around high quality instruction and guiding. For us this is the most valuable aspect of our product.

WEATHER CANCELLATIONS: Weather is a big factor to our trips. WRC will make a weather call on the morning of your trip and Notify you if conditions prevent the trip from running ASAP. WRC will be happy to offer you an alternative date or to refund you the full amount if this is the case. TIMELY CANCELLATIONS (OUTSIDE OF 24 HOURS): You may cancel or change your booking with no charge up to 24hrs in advance of your trip with WRC by getting in touch with us. Ether by calling 0220154458 or sending an email to wanakarock@gmail.com. You must have confirmation from us that the booking is canceled UN-TIMELY CANCELLATIONS: In the event that you cancel within the 24hrs before your trip with Wanaka Rock leaves or are a "no show" your credit card will be charged the full price for your outing.
