Description
We offer two types of accommodation at French Peak - the Luxurious Barn and the Unique Wagon. Both offer somewhere to come and relax, in comfort. The Barn accommodation is upstairs and comprises a large open space with a queen size bed and two single beds. There is a seating area as well as a dining area. Outside, in the gardens, is a seating/dining area and a barbeque. The Barn also has a newly refurbished bathroom, a fridge, microwave, tv, a writing desk and super fast wi-fi. The Wagon is quite a unique offering. It has a shower, compostable toilet, heating, super fast wi-fi, hob, small fridge and tv. There is a double bed. At night you can take an outdoor, wood-fired bath under the stars (there are many!) in the vineyard. French Peak is nestled in scenic French Farm, less than 1 hour from Christchurch and 15 minutes drive from Akaroa, a beautiful and popular resort town.

Our Barn accommodation is within the vineyard. It is a lovely, spacious open plan area that would suit either a couple or a family of up to 4 people looking to have a unique change of scene. The accommodation was recently refurbished. It has a queen size bed and 2 single beds. There is a lounge area (with sofa and armchairs) for relaxing in as well as an indoor dining area. In addition there is a modern bathroom with shower, a fridge, a tv, a microwave, a writing desk as well as utensils and essentials. Bed linen, towels and bathrobes are all provided for your stay. Outside the accommodation there is an eating area with a barbeque and also a petanque area. Wifi is available. During the day guests are very welcome to come and sit in the beautiful gardens at French Peak (including ponds and our forest area) and while a few hours away, listening to the birds, admiring the views and relaxing. For those who would like something a bit more active our petanque area is for you. You might also like to try our award winning French Peak wine! Please note that there are ponds at French Peak and so the accommodation might not be suitable for very young children. Also, the accommodation is up a flight of stairs.
