Pohutu Lodge Motel is on the edge of the Whakarewarewa Thermal Valley and takes its name from the famous Pohutu Geyser. Pohutu is a natural fountain of explosive boiling water and is only a few hundred metres away, situated in one of the most popular tourist attractions of Rotorua and indeed, New Zealand.
If you are heading to Rotorua with the intention of doing some mountain biking at the internationally famous Redwoods Forest, then you're not going to find a motel any closer to the action. From Pohutu Lodge Motel on Meade Street, you are within a few minutes’ drive of both the main carparks of the Waipa and Redwoods Forest mountain biking trails. Our rooms are all very spacious, most with two separate bedrooms, perfect for groups or family accommodation.

This is a 2-bedroom, 2 level suite. Downstairs, there is a wet shower bathroom and 1 bedroom downstairs with 1 single-sized bed and 1 queen-sized bed. Upstairs there is a kitchenette, dining and lounge area and a 2nd bedroom with a queen-sized bed and a semi en suite bathroom.
Family 2 Bedroom Suite

Two Bedroom Suite with 1 queen-sized bed in one room and 2 single sized beds in the second room. There is a full bathroom, including a separate shower and a spa bath. A dining/lounge area and a kitchenette are provided. 5th person is accommodated on a roll-away bed (charges apply)

This 2-level studio room has an open plan kitchenette, dining area, lounge, queen-sized bed and a full bathroom with a 2-person spa bath and separate shower, all on the lower level. On the mezzanine level there is a queen-sized bed and a king single bed. The balcony overlooks Pohutu Geyser and the reserve.

This 2-bedroom split level suite has 1 bedroom with 2 single-sized beds and a full bathroom, including a separate shower and a spa bath, located downstairs. On the 2nd level it has a kitchenette, dining area, lounge and a 2nd bedroom with a queen-sized bed and a semi en suite bathroom. Please note that the maximum occupancy is 5. Please note that the 5th guest will be accommodated on a roll-away bed.
I agree to pay a cancellation fee of 1 night room charge to Pohutu Lodge Motel if I cancel with less than 2 days (i.e. 48 hours) notification prior to check-in.
